Emergency Housing for UArts Students

Donation protected
On Friday, May 31st, the Philadelphia Inquirer announced that the University of the Arts, my college, would be closing in a week's time. Earlier that day, we had received bills for the following semester. Incoming freshmen had already declined other schools and put down deposits, with most decision dates well past. Some had already attended classes for the summer session. Many students had just signed year-long leases for apartments near the university. Others were relying on dorm housing to attend the university, with some even living there over the summer.

The funds from this GoFundMe will go directly to the former UArts students affected by the shutdown, specifically those who need assistance finding emergency housing, help paying penalties for breaking leases, or relied on their job at UArts to provide housing stability.
