Emergency Housing Fund for Chris Barney

Hey friends! My name is Erika and I am looking to help out a mentor and his dog Fenway who are three days away from becoming homeless.
I met Chris in 2015 during EMT school. He was working as a paramedic before he got injured, then he moved on to Fast Response as an instructor. He was nothing short of remarkable; he cared deeply about his students and their futures as first responders. He was eager to share his knowledge yet remained patient as we navigated the basics of life support. As Chris led us around the streets of Berkeley for community engagement, he would always bring water to pass around to the homeless and their dogs. Two and a half years ago, he has started an organization called Love All Dogs Society, which has provided food, water, and supplies to homeless people with dogs.
Unfortunately, Chris lost his job some time ago with the permanent closure of Fast Response. He has also struggled to find roommates for his San Francisco residence of 18 years. Since February of this year, I have watched him post listings helplessly with no luck. With the pandemic, he is now out of money. His landlord has agreed to forgive money owed if he leaves the premises by September 30. He is now scoping out the streets for a spot for him and his sweet pup, Fenway.
I know everyone has been affected in some way by the pandemic, so any amount donated will be appreciated. Chris has spent his years serving the community; please join me as I try to raise funds to help a man who has given selflessly to those who have nothing to give in return.
