Emergency Housing Support for Nigerian Trans Woman
My name is [Kim Eve Merari], a trans woman living in Nigeria. I'm facing a housing crisis and urgently need your help.
I moved into my apartment in April of this year, but I have experienced severe harassment from neighbors the whole time I have been here. I have even been physical assaulted by people in the neighborhood. My landlord, who is very religious, has now asked me to vacate my current apartment by September. I am struggling to afford a new home because Nigerian rental prices are double what they were earlier this year due to hyperinflation. The communities in which I am able to live safely and free from violence are very few and relatively costly.
Despite the dangers, I refuse to give up. I'm determined to build a life where I can be myself without fear of persecution. But I need your help to make that possible.
Your support will help me raise $4000 to cover the costs of a new apartment and ensure I have a roof over my head. Your contribution will go directly towards:
- Rent and security deposit for a new apartment
- Basic furniture and essentials for a safe living space
Any amount you can give will bring me closer to securing a home and stability. Please share this campaign with your network and help me spread the word. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
