This #tragedy with my son has been excruciating. I feel very alone with it often. I feel like my son's story and his need to get back here after all he has been through has not been given the urgency or importantance that other situations have. Our family needs help just as much. He is #suffering #psychologically , including many serious #breakdowns. His father refuses to get him back on #medication that he really #needs that can help him.

People spend $5 on a cup of #coffee and I can't even get people to send $1 via Venmo or Cashapp. Yes, Cashapp and Venmo accept $1. I would hope that even #strangers could #help with $1.

Do people wait until he hurts himself? Is that when the #support comes through? I've been trying everything I can think of to get this #gofundme going. The past 9 days my #son has been #suffering #unimaginably with no trip to the doctor to ease his pain. This happens every couple of months, sometimes more often.

I'm making a sign, as we speak and will be going #downtown on Sunday with a #collectionjar and #flyers with the Gofund.me link, asking total strangers to #care about my son who loves #Petaluma so much and is desperate to get back with his mother who will ensure the care he needs. My son asks me all of the time when can he get out of there and back to me. My son is not coping well there. He will be 14 in 2 months. The court case in Cyprus is going so slowly.

I owe $165,000 to my USA lawyers for the Hague Convention Case. The judge in that case ordered me to pay $85,000 of my son's father's legal fees. So, I owe that. I owe friends close to $30,000. I need another approx $11,000 for travel and accommodation to Cyprus several times and for missed wages for the case. I also ran up approx $15,000 in debt during the Hague Case which included missed wages. And I need another almost $10,000 for a psychologist needed for the court case.

UPDATE 1-30-23: THIS BATTLE HAS GONE OVER $150,000. I'M FLABBERGASTED. I URGENTLY NEED A SOCIAL MEDIA MAVEN TO DONATE TIME TO HELPLING GET THIS FUNDED. I AM BEING FINANCIALLY RUINED WITH THIS. I WAS JUST BEING SUPPORTIVE OF MY SON.

My name is Heather. My 12 year old son is refusing to go home with his father to Cyprus, an island country in the Mediterranean due to neglect and verbal abuse from his father and grandparents and because he feels I understand him and take better care of him. My son told his father many times this summer over the phone and via text that he refused to go back with him and my son wanted to discuss it and his dad refused and my son got more upset.

When my ex-husband met us in Petaluma to take my son back, my son refused and was shaking, crying, pushing him away and there was a scene for over an hour. Someone even called the police. We thought my ex-husband went back to Cyprus but he stayed here and is trying to get an order to force my son back home. My son does not like to be touched and if the police try to force him I am scared for my son's well-being as he will automatically lash out and I'm concerned for his safety at that point. My son is 6'1 and 198 lbs. If he pushes the police a number of bad things can happen.

I have witnesses to when my son was so upset. I've called a ton of lawyers and only found one capable and willing to go forward to help protect my son and hopefully help him not have to go back. This is a Hague Convention Federal Case. I'm petrified for my son's mental, emotional and physical well-being.
