Emergency Lebanon Appeal - Bedayati Beirut Meal Distribution

We launched an emergency appeal for Lebanon in September. Bedayati’s community kitchen in Beirut has since distributed over 63,000 warm meals and sandwiches to internally displaced families taking shelter in nearby schools. This is thanks to the generous donations on this page and offline.

After the largest displacement in Lebanon’s history, the situation is fast evolving and the neighbourhoods impacted are growing, including in Beirut’s centre. In this next phase of the crisis Bedayati is pivoting to continue providing basic food assistance at the places of shelter. We have upgraded two school kitchens and will continue to invest in upgrading existing kitchens in schools and shelters, and will provide food supplies and train cooks on food preparation hygiene and safety.

We hope that this hybrid intervention will sustain collective efforts and resources for a longer period.
