Gaza Medical Tent Project: Fighting for Lives Amidst Chaos - Every Dollar is a Lifeline!
Gaza stands on the precipice. Relentless attacks have crippled healthcare, leaving Palestinians desperately seeking aid. In the face of overwhelming despair, hope endures at our Gaza Medical Tent Project, a beacon of resilience treated thousands of patients since it started.
Our official social media accounts:
The Stark Reality:
Over 500 lives lost in attacks on medical facilities.
34 out of 36 hospitals shut down, creating a critical care vacuum.
Basic needs like electricity and water remain scarce, further exacerbating hardship.
Our Impact:
500+ patients treated daily: Receiving free consultations, care, and essential medicines for a range of medical challenges:
Communicable diseases: Food poisoning, scabies, skin diseases, colds, respiratory infections, and gastrointestinal infections.
Chronic conditions: Diabetes, hypertension, and prenatal care with vital vitamins and iron for pregnant women.
Wounds and injuries: Resulting from violence and lack of accessible care.
Continuous struggle to meet the growing demand for free medications due to limited donations.
Beyond Medical Needs:
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza extends far beyond healthcare:
Food insecurity: Many families lack access to nutritious food, leading to malnutrition and health complications.
Water shortages: Contaminated water sources put people at risk of waterborne diseases.
Psychological trauma: The ongoing conflict and violence have taken a toll on mental health, with rising cases of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Urgent Need for Your Support:
Funding: we have increased our goal to $120,000 because it’s crucial to support our GMT projects as this funds mainly supporting our medical team and our pre-natal care for pregnant women supporting campaign
also it will help us fighting against the urgent hepatitis A and other infectious diseases outbreak,
Most importantly providing medicines and supporting supplies to patients and their families.
We have launched new semi-telemedicine campaign which is was initiated specially because of the destruction of Alshifa hospital and other hospitals, patients left with no medical care and cannot afford to reach a doctor so as an alternative this will be the most effective way to help our people in Gaza, also the medical points started to be targeted which became risky for our doctors to go out!
We have raised the necessary money for the supporting the pregnant women and new mothers in Rafah where it’s highly densely populated area with thousands of pregnant women who has no access whatsoever to prenatal medical care for months!
Also have provided the necessary medical care, medicine and hygiene for and care supplies for hundreds of patients with various illnesses.
- picture of our doctors visiting a pregnant women in her tent to check up on her condition and give her medical care and advice.
- Our team visiting new mother to check on her and her child so after finding out the child has diaper rash we gave them necessary supplies to help them overcome the rash.
- Our team working as well in medical tent giving free medical care to all kind of patients especially CHILDREN.
- Our team also fights against the outbreaks of the contagious disease including Hepatitis A, so we distribute medical supplies including hygiene kits and nutritional supplements beside guidelines for patients about how to prevent and deal with this disease.
Medicine donations: The current supply cannot keep up with the overwhelming demand.
“DOTORS IN GAZA FIGHT AGAINST THIRD ARMY”:
-We have set a goal of to fight against the contagious disease in the Refugee camps and donations was used to pregnant women support campaign, supporting the mobile clinic, fighting Hepatitis A virus fighting campaign.(According to the health ministry 8,000 cases at least confirmed, and many ten thousands estimated to be infected according to our team doctors on the ground.
Here is this kid he is one of our patients who recently we are helping and taking care off right.
Picture of Hamza, a child infected with Hepatitis A virus was treated by GMT and given medical care. There’s tents of similar children cases GMT has dealt with.
This funds will help mainly supporting our medical team in the semi-telemedicine campaign.
The semi Telemedicine campaign:
GMT has an online form for the people in the whole Gaza strip.
The patients first fill in an online form about their condition, then consult be forwarded to a specialist doctor to evaluate the case, depending on the doctor’s decision:
1-GMT sends the patient to get lab tests done to get further information about their case.
2-If a physical examination required the patient will be given an appointment with one of the our doctors for the physical examination.
3-When final digits is reached GMT will purchase the medication and the patient can go and pick it up from the pharmacy.
