Emergency Pet Treatment Costs for Comet
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Dewi Evans, and pictured here is Comet, my beautiful baby boy.
I've never desired nor gone through with any sort of crowd-funding for myself, but my hands are tied on this one. This morning, September 29th 2021, I had to run Comet to the vet. He wasn't eating, was lethargic (even by his standards), and wasn't passing anything when he went to a litter tray.
After a trip to the vets, I've been informed that they are ill-equipped to deal with the issue and this has become an emergency and he needs to be treated immediately. Something is blocking his urethra or bladder, causing a build-up of toxins that have backed up into his bloodstream and now his kidneys aren't working properly. He'll need a CT scan as well as a specialist with the correct equipment to perform a tricky procedure which is currently his only shot at making it. Additionally, he'll need medications for his kidneys.
Unfortunately, this has raised the estimated cost from up to £1300 to up to £8000, and we simply cannot afford this. Whatever you can offer will be appreciated more than you can possibly imagine. I never thought I'd find myself in this situation, but I guess you're never really 'ready' to be faced with the mortality of a beloved pet. Even ignoring what an absolute emotional mess I've ended up becoming today, it's absolutely unfair - he's only two years old and was completely fine before. So, I'm begging you all, whether I know you or not if you can spare anything to help me save him.
Please do, and thank you.
