Emergency Puppy Mill Rescue

On 12/8/22 we received notification of an emergency rescue operation near Cleveland, OH, that required our help. GRRAND was notified that 33 Goldens and Goldendoodles, some pregnant, had to be picked up immediately. They were purely a transaction for this breeder and he would discard them the cheapest way possible. On 12/9 at 4 am the rescue team headed to Cleveland to arrive by 10 am.

We've transported 10 of these dogs to Louisville, and we're preparing for additional transports next week of 1 poodle and 10 labs. Three of the dogs we have transported so far are pregnant! One delivered a litter of 9 puppies the day after the rescue. She required an emergency C-Section to assist with the birth, but the puppies and Mama are doing fine.

The 33 Goldens and Goldendoodles have been rescued from this breeder. None of them have names. They were merely identified by the last 4 digits of their microchips! All of them are terrified and visibly sad. They will need so much work to become socialized enough to be family members.

We are now turning to you for help. The boarding and medical costs alone will be extensive. Bringing in these dogs creates a huge logistical problem as our facility, foster families, and many of our go-to overflow locations are full.
