Emergency Relief For Eduardo's Employees

Hi there,
I have made this campaign with the intention of raising emergency funds to keep the folks I work with afloat. As many of you know, the Governor of Illinois has ordered all bars and restaurants to operate on a take out only basis in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. We at Eduardo's Enoteca on 1212 N Dearborn are complying with these official regulations so we may do our part to keep our customers and team healthy. But without any dine in or bar business our team has been placed in a very precarious situation. The majority of service industry workers rely on their tips as their primary source of income. Our front of house staff is now without this vital sustenance and our back of house team is only able to work very limited hours. These individuals are the hardest working and most compassionate people that I know. They come from all walks of life, they are artists, musicians, writers, immigrants, daughters, sons, parents and valued community members.
And so I am humbly asking people who love them and me and Eduardo's Enoteca to donate to this relief fund so I can insure they are able to cover the necessities during this trying time. 100% of money raised will go directly towards the hourly employees and not to the salaried managers or the business itself. This restaurant has been my home and sanctuary for two years, and the people that work here are like a second family to me. I know that many of you in the Gold Coast community have also found solace inside our walls. Please help me help the team make it out to the other side of this crisis.
