Emergency Relief for the All Saints Toronto Fire
On December 12, a 3-alarm fire ripped through the supportive housing on-site at All Saints Toronto, Homes for Tomorrow, located at 319 Dundas St. East. Sadly, one person lost their life, and two other tenants are in critical condition. The surrounding units on the third and fourth floors are also severely fire-damaged, with 16 All Saints Homes for Tomorrow tenants displaced to nearby hotels. The floors below are flooded from the quick efforts of firefighters, who managed to contain the flames, but our drop-in kitchen, clothing bank, offices, and the second floor of units are severely water-damaged.
As a small non-profit, our ability to manage the escalating costs of this emergency will be challenging for us to meet. Our priorities are:
- Restoring units so tenants can swiftly move back in;
- Ensuring we can cover hotel costs for tenants while they are displaced.;
- Reopening our drop-in to serve the 800+ meals we distribute to the community every week.
Our closure has a significant impact on the community! Any financial support you provide will support the health and wellness of everyone in the Dundas and Sherbourne area. We need your help!
Thank you so much,
Diana Chan McNally

About All Saints:
We are the only drop-in centre in the City of Toronto that is open indoors for unhoused and low-income people for six hours a day, four days a week, and we do so with no city-funding. During the pandemic, we never closed our doors, and operated one of only eleven public washrooms in all of Toronto. We have dedicated daytime sleeping space, including mats and blankets, for people who have been up all night to rest safely during the day. We also provide nursing care, case management, crisis support, emergency clothing, harm reduction supplies, recreational programming, computers, WiFi, washrooms, and 800+ meals weekly. Additionally, we operate social housing, providing homes and supports to 60 tenants at 319 Dundas St. East. We are, in many ways, a hub at the corner of Dundas and Sherbourne and are committed to very low-barrier services for all members of our community. For us, staying open means the community can continue to stay well.
