Emergency Repairs for a New Business

My friend just opened a new boutique on Main Street in Vancouver in March 2023. Their front window was smashed the other night and $300 worth of goods was stolen. At month end, when rent and payroll are due, the $1000 insurance deductible is an expense they cannot afford right now since they are so new to the area and sales have not become regular yet. Going through the insurance process also means their premiums will go up which is another added expense. Therefore, they are considering paying the cost of the window replacement out of their own pocket.

Small businesses are the backbone of the community and the increased rates of vandalism and theft risk shutting these businesses down.
