Emergency Repairs For Flood Damage at House

On the night of December 17th, a huge storm blew through the area my parents live in in New Jersey and dumped 4 inches of rain with 60 mph winds. My parents were in the middle of getting the roof repaired, and the old tiles had just been stripped off. What was left of the roof blew off, letting water run into the house freely. The water ran through the walls and ceilings, soaking the dry wall and insulation and collapsing part of the ceiling. Furniture was also badly water damaged inside. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover any repairs because the roof was "in disrepair", and the contractor they were using had no insurance coverage.

To fix the damage, my parents need a new roof installed ASAP (and likely with a different contractor) and to tear out and install new drywall in the house. At least one room and the attic room are completely unlivable at the moment. I am setting up this Gofundme for them and will transfer the money to them. The money will be used to pay for a new roof installation and inside repairs.

This year has been financially tough, and to have this happen right before Christmas has been very upsetting. I would really like to help them in any way I can. Thank you so much for your donation, I deeply appreciate it!
