Hello friends and community members, I am reaching out to you on behalf of a dear friend and esteemed spiritual leader of great standing; a single mother of special needs children who are facing a very challenging time. Some of you may not know Jess, but her kindness and energy is unforgettable. She’s been an integral part of our drum family as our altar priestess for many years. Tirelessly she works for not only her family but the families of anyone she meets. Her home was severely damaged during a hurricane some time ago. FEMA and other local emergency programs assisted in the repairs to the roof and electrical… but were repaired quite poorly by shoddy workers and have caused additional damage to the home. Including excessive mold damage and as a result damages to the bathrooms.

Recently, their kitchen suffered an electrical fire , leaving them without a functional space to prepare meals and gather as a family. As a single mother, she already faces numerous challenges in caring for her children with special needs on a regular day. The added burden of having to repair their kitchen as well as use only one functional bathroom has put a huge strain on her both emotionally and financially. Without a fully functioning kitchen, it has become increasingly difficult for her to provide nutritious meals for her children and maintain a sense of normalcy in their lives. We are asking for your support and generosity in helping this family repair their kitchen and bathrooms only, so that the home can function again. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in their lives and provide them with a safe and functional space to cook and eat together as a family.
