Emergency spinal treatment for Andy Allsup
Donation protected
On Thursday, March 18th, my dad was rushed to the ER via ambulance due to excruciating lower back pain causing immobilization. The doctors did a CT scan, blood tests, and ultrasounds and were still unable to determine the cause of his pain. He was admitted into the ICU that night due to continuous critical drops in his blood pressure.
His MRI came back with multiple posterior paraspinal abscesses, which is a collection of puss surrounding the spinal cord, usually due to a complication of an infection. The treatment for this involves emergency spinal surgery to drain the abscess from the spine before permanent damage occurs. As of now, we are still waiting to hear if they will be continuing with the surgery.
My dad, Andy, lives a very healthy and active life and loves mountain biking. He is self-employed and loves what he does, building custom homes for families. Being a small business owner, his health insurance is extremely limited in what it can cover for his medical bills. I want to take as much stress off of him as possible, so any donations would unbelievably helpful. We appreciate any support.
Thank you so much!
