Emergency Support for Amanda Perez to Find a Home

Please donate what you can to support Amanda Perez.

Amanda needs our immediate help. She is losing her apartment and needs to find a new home and move by October 7. We need to raise funds for first and last months’ rent, a security deposit, moving and storage expenses, and resources to make some essential repairs to Amanda's car.

Amanda can also use help to pack and move, so anyone with muscles or a truck would be so appreciated.

For decades, Amanda has fought for the freedom and advancement of Xicano/a/x and other indigenous communities throughout the West. She is a leading intervention worker (peace builder) who has promoted unity and ceasefires between barrios, stepped in to prevent violence, and stood with many of us in our darkest moments.

As a leader of Old Timers of Southern California, Amanda has supported OGs and their families and documented the his/herstories of people and communities.

She has supported many to seek and maintain a life free of addiction to drugs or alcohol. And she has had the courage and stamina to demand justice from juvenile halls to City Hall and the halls of the state Capitol.

We all know how much she has had our backs and fought for the progress of all communities.

We need to raise $12,000 to meet Amanda's immediate needs, and we hope to go beyond that amount to support her in regaining stability and security.
