Emergency Support for Luanne & Jeff Wible

If you've had the privilege to know Megan like a close friend or family member, you know the strength that comes from the challenges she's endured; you know the beauty of her vulnerability.
I've known Megan & Chandler Radford more than half our lives and I've had the opportunity to get to know Megan's mother and brother, Luanne & Jeff. Megan & Jeff's love for each other is palpable. Luanne's devotion to Jeff's care is absolute. Chandler's loyalty to all of them is remarkable.
Asking for help is an act of vulnerability. Please join me in supporting Luanne, Jeff, Megan, & Chandler during this incredibly difficult time.
Background & a note from Megan:
"This type of thing is never easy to do, especially for someone who prides herself on being a strong, independent woman. But here I am - asking for your help at the encouragement of others.
For those who may not know, my mom is physically disabled and she, with the support of in-home caregivers, takes care of my 36-year-old developmentally disabled brother. My mom has dedicated her life to providing my brother with a wonderful life and, though she wouldn’t like me saying this, she’s sacrificed a lot to do so.
My brother and I have always been kindred. He’s 22 months older than me, and we were two peas in a pod growing up. Doctors said he may never walk - but when I started walking, he followed shortly thereafter.
My family has been through a lot over the last 11 years. I’ll save that story for another day, but suffice it to say that last week’s events certainly feel unfair.
Here’s what is going on:
Last Wednesday (3/24), early in the morning, my mom fell at home and broke her femur. She laid on the floor for hours before that day’s caregiver found her. He didn’t have keys to the house, but she was able to yell “Call 911” loud enough for him to hear through the door. He did so, and the paramedics broke into the house to get to her. From there, she took an ambulance to the hospital, where she has remained since.
On Thursday (3/25), she had surgery to repair the significant break. She now has a 44 cm “nail” that ranges from her hip all the way down to right above her knee. The recovery process for this surgery is long and difficult for anyone, but it’s especially long and difficult for someone who’s body was already limited.
On Tuesday (3/30), my mom will move from the hospital to a rehab facility, where she will most likely spend 10-14 days.
I am spending as much time at the hospital as possible, in order to advocate and care for my mom. To make matters more interesting, my husband and I also moved my brother to our house, as he requires round the clock care and supervision. We are paying caregivers to come to our house during the day, so that we can both go to work. We need about 10 hours per day, which adds up quickly. In addition to caregivers for my brother, the bills from the surgery, the 6-day hospital stay and 10-14 days in rehab will be monumental.
My mom and brother don’t have much income and they have a lot of caregiving needs, which means they have little to no expendable income. Any help you can offer is incredibly appreciated.
My mom said to me the other day from her hospital bed, “Everyone tells me I’m strong and I’m a fighter. But I’m tired of having to fight all the time. This isn’t fair.” I couldn’t agree more.
Thank you so much for your support during this incredibly difficult time."
