Emergency Support: Matt & Jen at Woolly Bee Farm

Donation protected
Hello Wamego - Manhattan Community,

This is Keli, Matthew's sister. We are currently sitting in the waiting room taking turns visiting Matthew in the ICU. On Friday evening, Matthew was struck by lightning while he and Jen were walking on their property. Jen was mostly unharmed but Matthew's injuries are much more severe. He is currently stable but in critical condition. It is a waiting game at this point to see how significantly the strike affected him.

One thing is for sure, Matt and Jen will not be able to care as carefully for their farm for a while during this ordeal. So many friends in their community have volunteered to help keep Woolly Bee Farm going during this family emergency, but there will certainly be a loss of income without the farm's full-time caretakers at the helm.

Matthew and Jen's families started this Go Fund Me to take some of the stress off of Jen - as she juggles caring for Matthew, caring for herself, caring for their three children ... and also still trying to care for the animals and flowers they have put some much work into on the farm.

The full extent of the medical expenses and long-term outcomes are unknown at this point. But if you are looking for a way to support Matthew and Jen - please consider donating to this care fund.
