Bills Mafia Mama needs help after emergency surgery
Donation protected
On November 25th, I was rushed by my doctor to the hospital for emergency back surgery due to Cauda Equina Syndrome. The herniated discs were pinching on the nerve bundle at the end of my spinal cord. If left any longer, I would have had permanent loss of bladder control and/or permanent paralysis of the legs.
There seemed to have been post-operation complications that have landed me back in the hospital with no feeling in my feet and excruciating pain in my right leg.
Another surgery is soon to follow. That being said, my recovery road will be started over.
My husband and I have 2 small toddlers that we raise with little to no help as both of our families live across the country. I am not able to lift more than 5 pounds, bend, or twist for the next 3 to 6 months. That means I cannot put my baby to bed, give my kids baths, or even prepare any food for them. I am incapable of being a mother to my children in this state.
My husband does not work a conventional 9 to 5 job for the most part His job takes him out of town for weeks at a time. That is not possible at this time with no one else available to care for my children. He can not take time off of work to care for our children and myself the entirety of my recovery; our bills would cripple us very quickly. We also are not in a position to hire full-time nanny to help with kids and household chores and home health care is not covered by my insurance either.
Adding Christmas to the mix is making it even more difficult to process this.
Please keep me and my family in your thoughts this holiday season, as I won’t be able to hold mine well into the new year.
We never ask anyone for help and are the first to lend a helping hand in any situation. Christmas season is our favorite time to go around town and select angel tree gifts with our children to provide to those in need. This year unfortunately we are the ones in dire need.
Anything helps, and if you can’t help, please share the post and maybe someone else can.
