Emergency Surgery for Dale Pickles
Donation protected
Drake and I love to help others when we are able, and now it’s our turn to lean on our community and ask for help. First and foremost, we usually plan ahead and have enough money saved to cover emergencies, but the past two months have been tough and we did not expect all of this to happen so close together.
Its been a hard year-Drake’s engine blew in his truck and we replaced it but it wasn’t done correctly by what we thought was a reputable mechanic. We’re down $15,000 and still do not have the truck in working order.
Our beloved dog Junior was injured in July and we incurred $1000 in vet bills only to have to come to the very difficult decision to let him peacefully pass over to the rainbow bridge.
On Wednesday our hot water heater went out and cost us $800 to replace (thank goodness Drake knew how to!) And then today, our almost one year old pup Dale wasn’t acting right so we took him to the vet to find out he has an intestinal blockage. Needless to say, our savings is drained and we have enough to cover about half of the cost of the surgery he needs. We found the most least expensive vet that could see him today, and it is still expected to cost anywhere from $4,000-$6,000.
We do have pet insurance, but we are not out of the probationary period yet so it will not cover this emergency. If you are able to contribute even a small amount, we would be forever grateful. If you aren’t able to at this time, please keep us in your thoughts and thank you for taking the time to read.
With love,
