Help Save My Employee’s Vision – Urgent Surgery Needed
Hello, my name is Donghun An, and I am the owner of BT Burger, a small burger restaurant in downtown Atlanta. Today, I’m reaching out for urgent help for someone very dear to me—one of my most loyal and hardworking employees.
Since the day I opened my restaurant, he has been by my side, crafting some of the best burgers you’ll ever taste. More than just an employee, he is like family to me. But now, he’s facing a devastating crisis—he is at risk of losing his sight.
A few months ago, he started experiencing severe vision problems. His eyes became swollen, and his eyesight deteriorated rapidly. After seeing a doctor, he was diagnosed with retinal detachment, a serious condition that requires immediate surgery to prevent total blindness. The surgery was scheduled for March 6th, but just yesterday, the hospital informed him that his insurance will not cover the full cost. They are demanding $8,000 in cash, or they will cancel the surgery.
He has managed to save $2,000, and I personally want to cover the rest. But as a small business owner struggling with financial difficulties, I can only afford to contribute $1,000. We tried to arrange a payment plan with the hospital, but they refused. After exhausting all other options, he was left with no choice but to cancel the surgery—a decision that could cost him his sight.
This surgery must happen as soon as possible to save his vision. If we can raise just $5,000, he can move forward with the surgery and prevent permanent blindness.
100% of Donations Will Go Directly to His Medical Expenses
Every dollar raised will be used exclusively for his hospital bills. If we reach our goal, this fundraiser will be immediately closed to ensure transparency and that no excess funds are collected.
I’ve seen this man work tirelessly, bringing passion and skill to his job every single day. He never asks for help, but today, he desperately needs it. If you can contribute—even just a small amount—it would mean the world to him and to all of us who care about him.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Every share, every dollar, every act of kindness brings us one step closer to saving his sight.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this.
