Emergency Vet Bill - Nova (Chihuahua)

Hi, my name is Lisa and I am fundraising for Damara (Nova).

This is Nova. She is a sassy, loving, playful 7 year old Chihuahua. She loves sun bathing, treats, and playing fetch with her stuffies and mini tennis ball.

Unfortunately, on April 7th, she suddenly started having dozens of various kinds of seizures and was rushed from Medicine Hat to the VCA CARE center. After running multiple tests and days of amazing care by the team, she was diagnosed with GME (Granulomatous Meningoencephalitis). GME is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks the brain and spinal cord with no known cause. She was quickly set up with a treatment plan, which thankfully worked quickly and effectively, and she was able to come home the evening of Thursday, April 11th.

Her ER stay with multiple tests and ongoing medical care is unfortunately expensive, and we are looking for any help possible to make sure we can give her the best life after everything she went through.
