Emergency Vet Bills for Fenris' Recovery
Donation protected
My dog Fenris had an emergency this weekend that started late at night on Friday, 1/10, with a bit of a swollen face. We assumed she might have been stung by a wasp, but she was otherwise acting like herself, even though there was a tiny bit of swelling. We waited until the morning to see how she was doing, and that morning you could tell she was definitely off. She was not eating, was lethargic, and puking bile. We took her that Saturday morning, 1/11, to the emergency vet. They did an ultrasound of her pancreas, bloodwork, and gave her Cerenia since she was nauseous. Her liver values indicated that she had an allergic reaction to something. We took her home that Saturday, 1/11, because the vet seemed pretty confident she would be okay. She came home and still wasn't eating. We waited until the morning again, and she had very black stool, was throwing up, and was more lethargic. We took her back the morning of 1/12, where she was hospitalized for 24 hours on supportive care to monitor her liver values, keep her on antibiotics, and IV fluids. Today, 1/13, she is good enough to come home and finally did at 10 am.
Her bill on 1/11 was $830.
Her bill on 1/13 was $1,200.
Obviously, this was not anything we were expecting would happen and are kind of tied up now due to this situation. I do have a scratch and pay for the amount of $1,200 to help, but the interest rate is high. At the time, I just needed the loan to help my girl out. Anything y'all could do to help would be appreciated, just sharing is super helpful and would mean the world to me.
