Emergency Vet for Logan

Hi my name is Tanner, and I’m making this in hopes I can raise money to help my dog Logan. Logan is an 8 year old Anatolian Shepard mix who loves long walks and hiking as well as splashing around in the river. If you know us you know how much he loves the river. I first got Logan at 8 weeks old and we have been iseperable since. He recently has come down with some medical issues the cause of which are unknown to me at the time of writing this. A few days ago he had some diarrhea and vomiting for which I assumed from eating dog food that wasn’t his. If you’re a dog owner than you know switching foods for them can be rough. As of 1/26/24 he was on the up end of recovering. Or so I thought I came home that night to find he had vomitted blood and had some signs of blood in his stool. Upon talking to my roommates I found he had gotten ahold of a rawhide bone, and at the whole thing. After going to the vet today 1/27/24 she confirmed from a physical exam that it might be that. They came back with all the test and meds they wanted to use for treatment and it totaled to be roughly $1000 on the low end. Due to my own mishaps and have coming from homeless a few months ago I was unable to get the test and treatment needed to confirm what exactly is wrong. For context rawhides are terrible for dogs and if ingested to quickly and in large chunks it can lead to a blockage in the intestines of dogs. The confirmed this info with me but with out the tests or x-ray to confirm it I sadly had to leave with my pup in bad condition. They gave him some fluids and anti nausea meds to help ease his discomfort for the night. Ultimately if left untreated it could be potentially fatal.
