Gift of Water

 Death is Preventable with the Gift of Water

 

I’m a 70-year-old grandmother who built a home in 2010 for orphaned children in Uganda by baking 11,000 loaves of banana bread.  We have been blessed with water in our “Home of Angels” but our community of 200,000 has not. 

 

We have had no rain since June 2016 and none is predicted until March or April 2017.   The swamps have all dried up and our nearby town has had to stop the outflow of water due to water levels being too low.  There is no food as all crops had dried up months ago and the people are starting to die at a rate of 8-10 a week.

 

We would like to drill a bore hole to help approximately 3,000 people in the village closest to us.  We would hire the same company out of Entebbe, that drilled our bore hole.  We are pumping 5000 liters/hour and have been for 6 years now but the challenge is, we cannot share with them due to a danger of stampede.

 

Please help to save the lives of these people through the gift for water.
