Emerging Together, Stronger!

St. Nicks Alliance is celebrating 46 years of revitalizing and strengthening North Brooklyn neighborhoods. Together with our supporters, the St. Nicks Alliance team has accomplished so much in the past year, from providing emergency food aid to protecting tenants from eviction to continuing our workforce development and after school programs remotely to setting up a Covid-19 vaccination site, ensuring that our most vulnerable neighbors can be protected. We could not have accomplished this without the generous support of our friends.

 

We need your help to continue this important work! The funds we raise at the Annual Benefit strategically support our work in North Brooklyn and particularly our innovative efforts to transform lives and address poverty while building a stronger community.

Our Impact in 2020:

 

16,000 North Brooklyn residents looked to St. Nicks Alliance for help.

 

5,846 North Brooklyn youth and families were are served by 16 after school centers,

3 community schools, 3 community centers, and 7 high schools.

 

1,833 new affordable units are in construction or planning by St.Nicks Alliance.

 

1,321 seniors received homecare, housing, or attended the Senior Center.

 

587 adults and young adults obtained living wage jobs or advanced education.

 

2,737 youth completed internships.

 

20,803 bags of groceries were delivered to seniors in quarantine; we provided 1,204 vaccines for seniors; and in coalition with partners, we opened our Swinging Sixties Senior Center to provide over 10,000 vaccinations.
