Familia and Friends, We are asking for help for our Cousin Emilia

In her words ...

Hola, me llamo Emilia Margarita Benítez Campos, tengo 18 años de edad, hace un año acudí a tu bondadosa generosidad para apoyarme en mi tratamiento contra el linfoma de Hodking. Es un tipo de cáncer que se aloja en el mediastino torácico, en el mismo año inicié tratamiento con quimioterapias.

2021 fué un año difícil para mí, pues tuve que renunciar a practicar a el deporte y mi equipo que toda mi vida me ha acompañado, el basquetbol; te cuento que pertenecía a una selección estatal y estábamos próximas a jugar unas Olimpiadas Juveniles Nacionales. Así como cambiar muchos aspectos de mi vida cotidiana debido a los cuidados y los síntomas que por las quimios se presentan en tus días de tratamiento, y los malestares que el tumor no me permitía hacer normalmente muchas actividades físicas las cuáles acostumbraba hasta el día que fui diagnosticada.

*Pero la solidaridad de familiares, amigos y sociedad en general me fortaleció y llenó de Fé.

Sin embargo el resultado de dichas quimioterapias no fueron satisfactorias, pues el tumor tuvo una resistencia al medicamento y al realizarme los estudios solicitados por mi médico nos enteramos que el tumor creció; siendo necesario iniciar con otro tratamiento que es mucho más costoso q el anterior, por lo que hoy vuelvo a solicitar tu ayuda generosa para que pueda continuar mi tratamiento.

Te agradezco mucho por acompañarme en esta batalla de salud. Dios nuestro Señor premiará con creces tus aportaciones

Hello, my name is Emilia Margarita Benítez Campos. I am 18 years old, a year ago I turned to your kind generosity to support me in my treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma. It is a type of cancer that lodges in the thoracic mediastinum, in the same year, I started treatment with chemotherapy.

2021 was a difficult year for me, because I had to give up practicing sports and my team that has accompanied me all my life, basketball; I tell you that I belonged to a state team and we were about to play a National Youth Olympics. As well as changing many aspects of my daily life due to the care and symptoms that the chemo presents during my days of treatment, and the discomfort that the tumor did not allow me to normally do many physical activities, which I used to do until the day I was diagnosed.

*But the solidarity of family, friends and society in general strengthened me and filled me with Faith.

However, the results of these chemotherapies were not satisfactory, since the tumor had a resistance to the drug and when performing the studies requested by my doctor we found out that the tumor grew; being necessary to start with another treatment that is much more expensive than the previous one, so today I request your generous help again so that I can continue my treatment.
