Emilie’s Recovery From Coronavirus
As we all know, Emilie has been fighting Coronavirus in Intensive Care for the last 6 weeks and is now quite frankly kicking its arse!
It’s not been plain sailing. Whilst a lot of the updates on Em’s progress were a little vague, she came close to losing her battle a few times. Dave, Jayne, Simon and Justin have also been fighting their own battles, as we all have, trying to keep strong for Em as well as each other.
Emilie is always there for everyone else, no matter how big or small the problem. I can only speak from experience when I say she’s been a pair of ears to rant to, has been the voice of reason and has held my hand through my toughest and darkest moments as she would for any of her friends (along with the sarcastic comments and telling off when needed!)
I think she’ll be totally overwhelmed with the amount of messages, love and support everyone has sent and I speak on behalf of her family and close friends when I say thank you. Thank you to each and every one of you that has sent messages and made some lovely acts of kindness. It means so much to know she has that support.
A few of her friends came up with the idea of a Go Fund Me page so here we are! Whether Emilie chooses to use the funds raised for private physio, speech therapy, a little break away for when she’s recovered or even donating the money to the amazing ICU team that saved her life. Anything would help for us to show her just how much she means to us all. She’s not particularly one for the spot light or hand outs but this is a gift to her from all her loving friends.
