Lets help Emily Baney fight Leukemia!

Our friend, daughter, sister, granddaughter, coworker, and bada** nurse, Emily was diagnosed with a subtype of Leukemia called APL about a week ago. Leukemia is the production of abnormal white blood cells from bone marrow and lymphatic tissue causing cancer. This diagnosis has been an extreme shock for Emily and her family. Fortunately, this subtype of leukemia has a very high cure rate (95-99%) and we are praying for the best possible outcome for Emily. However, in the meantime, she will be going through very intensive treatment and need to be monitored very closely. She will be in the hospital getting treatment and multiple blood product transfusions for the next four weeks. Emily was told by doctors that she would not be able to return to work for at least 6 months after treatment. Between the long hospital stays, doctor visits, and being off of work she is going to need our help to stay afloat. As you all know, Emily is the type of person who would do anything for anyone and is always there for the people in her life. It is our turn to be this for her.
