Emily Barnett memorial fund

Donation protected
On Fatality Free Friday, 29th May 2020 at 3pm my brother and his family lost their eldest daughter, Emily Barnett, in a tragic car accident at Midgee, Qld.

Emily touched the hearts of everyone she knew. She was the eldest in her family of two sisters and a brother that are missing her shining light.

She was such a hard, dedicated worker who was money savvy from such a young age, saving to buy a car and house to secure a good future.

We had recently celebrated her 21st birthday and were excited to hear about her next plans in life. She was planning a trip to America, a new career and there were even a whisper of a boy.

Emily had a contagious smile that warmed your heart and an excited chatter that held your attention.

She was a kind, beautiful soul, so full of life that was tragically cut short leaving us all shattered, shocked and devastated.
Our family has received amazing support and love in the wake of Emily's passing, but will continue to live every day grieving the loss of their daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin.

I hear my brother cry for his daughter each day, "I don't want her death to be in vain".

We want Emily to be remembered and to save lives.

All money given will go directly to Emily's parents so they can maintain a road safety message on a billboard across from the accident site for as long as they can.  Advertising cost for this sign is $10,000 annually.
