Emily Flood’s Cancer Journey

Emily Flood…

A very recognisable face, and a very much loved lady in our community..

Emily was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer on World Ovarian Cancer day (8th May 2024). She has had to undergo major emergency surgery and is about to start a 5 month course of chemotherapy.

Cancer does not discriminate in anyway, and the hardship entailed in a cancer journey can be devastating.

As you may know, Emily is self employed, and therefore, unable to maintain an income during her recovery from surgery and whilst having chemotherapy.

Throughout her journey so far, her 3 year old son, Jack, has been her priority, and so selflessly, wanting to raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. Emily wants the number of people that could potentially go through what she is going through to be significantly reduced.

We are sincerely asking for our community to help this gorgeous little family whilst they go through this next 6 months, so that they can still live a fairly “normal” life..

Please would you kindly donate any pennies that will help reduce their financial worries and hopefully help them to do nice things together as a family when Emily feels well enough to do so.
