But, if you have a few bucks to toss at the dancer, here's the situation:

The novel Grayshade by Gregory A. Wilson is a Silver Medal Finalist for the Benjamin Franklin Awards, a publisher's award. I am the person who decided to publish this book. Because I believe in Greg, in his community, and the potential of the Gray Assassin world. Yet being right in the middle of final exams, Greg isn't able to attend, and I just ... believe this book is gold-medal worthy. If it won, and there was only a sad trombone to accept the award, I'd be even more angsty than normal.

So Chris says, let's get you out there. He found a cheap flight and a place to stay on points. Catch: I have a long layover in Las Vegas then two days in San Diego. I got to go both places once, many years ago, and very much enjoyed it. People are saying I could use something called "a break" anyway. (My last two-day adventure like this was about seven years ago, and my last time looking out at an ocean was 11+.)

If I go cashless, I will sit and wander and write. But food and a little fun would be pretty cool. So if you love this idea, and want to toss in five bucks, it would add a little glitter to my visit.
