Emily Lilith Recovery Fund

Family and Friends,
Recently baby girl, Emily Lilith Moreno, was welcomed into this world, in El Paso Tx, on June 9,2020. Unfortunately, baby Emily was born with a rare birth defect called, CDH. CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia) is when the diaphragm — the muscle that separates the abdomen from the chest — does not fully develop. This underdevelopment causes a hole where abdominal organs (like liver and intestines) can enter into the chest and impair lung development. In Emily’s case, she suffered from multiple organs stuck inside her chest cavity that prevented both of her lungs from fully developing. Emily was immediately rushed to The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio after her birth and underwent surgery. Fortunately, Emily was strong enough to withstand this invasive surgery and is on her road to recover. However, the recovery process is still uncertain and lengthy. As of today, Emily cannot breath without mechanical assistance. She will be living at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio for the foreseeable future. The funds for this account will go towards Emily’s medical bills and expenses while she gets past this difficult process. It is with a heavy heart and appreciation if you’re able to donate.
