Hi, my name is Mellisa. Last Wednesday my best friend Emily and her family were displaced by a devastating house fire. No one was hurt and we’re all so very thankful for that, as THINGS can be replaced but PEOPLE can not. A house fire at any point can be a person’s worst nightmare come true, but with a 7 year old daughter, this comes at an especially terrible time with Christmas right around the corner. I’m reaching out to try and raise some money not only to help with the holidays but also to try and make it possible for them to find another home as quickly as they can. Whether you’re able to donate financially or help with donations of clothes, toys or food, any little bit will be appreciated more than you know, as I or anyone else who has even been through a situation as catastrophic as a house fire can attest to.
