Emily Moy Camps International Kenya 2024

Donation protected
Update July 2024 - Emily has just done a teddy bear tombola at her old primary school which was really successful. This adds £88.50 to her fundraiser ☺️ after she has finished her year 10 mock exams next week she can now pack her bags - it's all getting very exciting

Update September 2023.

Huge thank you to say Emily reached her target to cover the cost of her trip! She did pet setting over the summer holidays. Combined with the generosity of friends and family she has it covered and is extremely happy! She is continuing to raise some more for things like vaccinations and her kit she will need.

Hello, I’m Emily and I am 15 years old. I have nerve damage in my
right arm and when I was born my parents were told that I wouldn't
be able to move my arm at all. I believe no one should be held back
by something that is no fault of their own. This is why I need to raise
money to go to Kenya and help local communities. We will be
participating in reforestation projects and helping build things like
schools and toilets, deworming goats and educating the locals on
why they should not kill elephants that they see as pests that trample
on their crops. I am open to all donations no matter how large or
small, I am also looking for company sponsorships so if you know of
anyone or are interested in sponsoring me, please feel free to
contact me. As a requirement for this trip and part of the experience
I need to raise this money to be able to go and help these people and
their home.

Emily has been given the opportunity for the trip of a lifetime to Kenya with Camps International in the Summer of 2024.

As part of this experience all students have to fundraise themselves teaching them money skills, budgeting, resilience and time management. She has a lot of money to raise and as a team they are coming up with different ideas. Any ideas off anyone would be most welcome.

Therefore, Emily is available for hire! If anyone needs a babysitter, dog walker/pet sitter please get in touch.

Emily is also looking for sponsorship from any Company willing to sponsor her for advertising their logo on her Camps International clothing and kit. If you know anyone please get in touch.

If anyone doing their Christmas shopping etc would be willing to shop through easyfundraising.org and help Emily raise money this way please follow this link https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/camps-international-kenya-2024-emily-moy/?utm_campaign=raise-more&utm_source=social&utm_medium=facebook&utm_content=rm-fb-1

We have set up this fundraising page and any donations at all would be most appreciated.

For anyone who doesnt know Emily's story she got stuck at birth (shoulder dystocia) sustaining permanent nerve damage to her right shoulder/neck. Her condition is Erb's Palsy.

This means she doesnt have a full range of movements on her right arm.

When she was born we were told of all the things she would never be able to do like ride a bike or swim or tie her own hair up etc.

Emily is determined to prove that you can do anything with hard work and determination and you should never be held back by other people's limiting beliefs.
