On July 17, 2017, Emily was admitted to Saint Joseph Hospital for an unknown illness. Due to complications, the hospital was unable to make a diagnosis and Emily was transferred to Layola.
Since then, Emily has been diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma resulting in HLH (an auto-immune disease).
Emily's husband, Justin, has been faithfully by her side during this trying time. As a result, Emily and Justin, and their three children, have been burdened with quickly rising medical costs and lost wages.
Emily, and her family, have a long fight ahead of them as doctors apply aggressive treatments.
