Emily Roach Memorial Scholarships

Emily Roach, 20, died suddenly on August 7th, 2018—on the way to her very favorite place on earth. 

Emily struggled to find something that she was passionate about—something that she could really imagine herself doing—until she found Sky Ranch. What she found at Sky Ranch was an inspiring natural setting, friends and colleagues that cared deeply for her, and work that fulfilled her deep desire to serve others. 

Emily found a place where she could be herself. In this time of sorrow, doubt, uncertainty, and overwhelming grief, our family can think of no greater gift than to enable other young people to find that same connection. 


There's no use for flowers at the funeral of a 20-year-old—they're fragile, and impermanent, and most of all: they'll never be as beautiful as she was.

In lieu of flowers, we're trying to raise the ambitious amount of $5665, which will pay for 5 scholarships to Sky Ranch.
