Emily Yem 31 year old fighting breast cancer

Donation protected
This is Emily Yem. She is a 31 year old Medical Aesthetician living in Brookpark, Ohio with her fiancée Daniel. She is a daughter, sister, cousin and friend to so many. Emily is one of the most loyal human beings around. For once, she needs our support. On April 19th 2023 Emily was diagnosed with Stage 2b breast cancer, invasive ductal carcinoma. A life changing diagnosis that she has attacked head on. She is finishing her last Chemotherapy treatment this Monday. Unfortunately this is not the end of her cancer journey. Emily will need radiation and surgery which will force her to be away from work.
Here is a post from Emily on June 5th 2023 April 19th 2023 - the date that turned my life upside down. I was diagnosed with stage 2b breast cancer, invasive ductal carcinoma. The amount of grief I've experienced since then is almost incomprehensible. However, my diagnosis has allowed me to have a second chance at life. I've taken my life for granted. Now, the little things that used to bother me no longer matter. It's allowed me to be kinder to my body. I'm kinder to my mind. It allowed me to focus and indulge in the present, reflect on my past, and extremely hopeful for my future. Never in a million years would I thought this would happened to me especially at 30 years old. The great news is, I WILL persevere with flying colors and my battle starts today! We already know we're coming out of this strong I urge everyone to not ignore unusual symptoms and listen to your body and PLEASE get checked because early detection saved my life!  June 24th 2023 Emily posts This post is not meant to be sappy by any means but to just bring awareness. My diagnosis has forced me to make decisions about my future that I NEVER EVER THOUGHT I had to worry about. Breast cancer has forced my hand to make life-altering decisions in only a short matter of time. At first, I was only so concerned about my diagnosis I didn't even think about this thing that actually gutted me more than my diagnosis and that was fertility. We hear stories all the time about women naturally getting pregnant once cancer treatments are done but the stories of women who became infertile from cancer treatments remain silent. Daniel and I made the decision to be proactive and freeze my eggs and our embryos to prepare for worst case scenario (which won't happen ) We believe by the end of treatment, we will be just fine but...just in case...this process of freezing my eggs has given us a better peace of mind. Wondering why donate? If you already know Emily, then no explanation is needed. But if you don’t, here is why. She is always there for people when they need her. She would never ask for this but how amazing would it be for us to remove this one stress away? Every dollar given means one less dollar Emily has to worry about, and she needs her energy. For once, Emily needs our help. You can help by donating. As you have read, the money is needed for so much more than cancer treatment. Please consider donating today.
