Emily's Recovery

Emily's struggle started in February 2015, when it was discovered that intestinal surgery she had as a toddler failed.  As a result, she had to have surgery that kept her in the hospital for 26 days.

In 2016, she started showing signs of developing a hernia from that surgery.

Fast forward to February 2019 Emily had the hernia repaired in another surgery.  After a series of complications and a one month recovery, she returned back to work at Central Food and was so excited to be back to see her co-workers and her loyal customers.

In April, she started having symptoms from the hernia repair surgery.  Her surgeon decided that the hernia repair surgery failed and needed to be redone. It is expected that she will need 6 weeks of recovery time.  Surgery is scheduled for April 19.

Emily has lost a total of 5 months income since April 2018 due to medical issues. With the anticipated loss of income of 2 months or more and no sick time available, it has caused tremendous stress and worry about her financial future. 

I'm asking all of my friends and family, as well as Emily's friends, if you'd like to help her out. This gofund me is to help with monthly expenses for her and her young daughter. Let's rally together to show Emily how much she is loved and supported.
