Emily's Legacy

NB. Please note this is will be ongoing fundraiser hence the large target
Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared or supported Emily’s Legacy since we set this up. It means so much not only to our family but to everyone who has experienced loss.
By Emily’s first birthday, we had raised £10,000 which was shared between 3 charities: The Harebell Suite (Based at Tameside Hospital), Sands and Tommy’s. For our second year, we have chosen the below charities:
- Judah’s Cloud – Allows families to create precious memories with their babies by providing £D hand and foot castings and tiny clothing.
- 4Louis – Provide memory boxes with keepsakes and mementoes to help create lasting memories. They also provide specialised equipment and training free of charge to hospitals/ hospices/ professionals who work with grieving families.
- The Harebell Suite (based at Tameside Maternity Unit) – This is the bereavement suite where families birth and spend precious time with their babies. We are continuing with this charity as it will always hold a particularly special place in our hearts.
Any donations will be hugely appreciated (especially during these difficult times). However, sharing Emily’s Legacy via social media or this GoFundMe will be just as appreciated! The more people see baby loss, the less the stigma!
Together, we can break the Taboo!
Background as to why we set up Emily’s Legacy:
On 23/07/21 at 21:48 our beautiful baby girl Emily was born sleeping. In the short time we spent with her as a family, we created memories that will last a lifetime. Emily brought joy to so many lives and will never be forgotten.
Only afterwards when looking into this we realised that all baby loss (miscarriage, stillborn, ectopic, TFMR etc.) is still a heart-breaking experience too many families go through - currently this looks to be about 1 in 4 pregnancies. It is not spoken about enough.
We are determined to use this experience to raise awareness and vital funds to help in any way to lower the numbers and provide much-needed support to families.
