Emm Medical Supplies & Mobility Aids
Donation protected
Emm is a 27 year old cosplayer and seamstress. On their way back from work at Build-a-Bear Workshop, just moments down the road from their house, Emm was involved in a traumatic car accident that left them without feeling or movement in both legs. They then spent over a month in hospitals working on physical rehabilitation. Emm is now home, living with her parents, and is getting used to life in a wheelchair. Life as a paraplegic means that Emm has a variety of new needs, and while insurance covers a portion of these, Emm’s limited resources will not stretch to cover everything else. Some of these needs include medications, medical supplies, wheelchair equipment, physical therapy equipment, and payments on a hospital bed. With the money collected here, we hope to give Emm enough help with these things to make daily life more manageable and allow them to focus on continued healing. This aid would also help set the minds of their family at ease as they help Emm adjust. Eventually, Emm would like to return to sewing and to cosplay, and they look forward to using their accident as a platform from which to encourage other disabled cosplayers as well. We thank you for any help you feel led to give!

Emm has always been an inspiration with their confidence and determination in cosplay and other aspects of their life. This accident really shows how quickly life can change, but Emm has been taking things day by day and has remained strong through this adjustment. We can't wait to see Emm back in the convention scene and continuing to inspire those of us in the cosplay community. We wanted to set up this gofundme to help emm have the best opportunity of recovery, and be able to have access to more mobility aids so they can get back to doing all the things they love to do.
