Emma Alex Havana: Fundraiser for Ukraine Recovery

Hello Everyone! Our names are Emma, Alex, and Havana. We are three USA Swimmers from 3 different states striving to make the world a better place outside the pool. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we came together to form this fundraiser to support recovery and essential need efforts for Ukraine. All donations will be going to the International Committee of the Red Cross, specifically for food, water, and infrastructure/home repair. Along with that, money donated will go to aid hospitals, schools, mental health facilities, and community centers. Please consider donating! Any amount given is greatly appreciated. Why we are doing this:

Emma-Michigan: I was scrolling through Instagram when I came across two pictures that shattered my heart. One was a young couple embracing in the metro, and the other was a father saying goodbye to his daughter so he could go fight for Ukraine. I am doing this fundraiser so everyone can have food and water to be more than just surviving, but healthy as well. Also, those families I saw in pictures can gather in their homes after this war and be together as one.

Alex-North Carolina: When this war started, I was honestly shocked. I couldn’t believe that in 2022, a country was trying to take over another sovereign nation. I’ve seen people that look just like us, but with bulletproof vests and assault rifles. These people's lives are likely going to be changed forever, and I want to make an impact in supporting Ukraine by helping to start this fundraiser.

Havana-Florida: Though we in the US are not currently affected by the crisis in Ukraine, it is affecting thousands upon thousands of innocent civilians who have no choice but to suffer. Providing a bit of relief is the least we can do. We are all humans, and we are all citizens of the planet Earth. Helping each other out when the time is needed is not too much to ask.
