Emma Greenman’s Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Racheal Burk. I am raising money for a family who is very dear to my heart, The Greenman Family. As many of you know, our sweet Emma was diagnosed with a very rare brain tumor on Dec. 30th. Her amazing doctor was able to successfully remove the tumor just 2 days later on Jan. 1st. We are all so grateful! However, the road to recovery has not been easy. Though she is making progress, she still has a ways to go before she will feel back to herself. Yesterday, Feb. 16th, Emma started her first day of radiation which will continue 5 days a week for 6 weeks along with chemo.

If you know Emma, you know... She has always been an energetic and on-the-go child, wait, TEENAGER! She is currently on the Reagan HS Varsity Cheer team and was involved in many other activities. To stop it all at once has not been easy on her. Along with many of you, our hearts have been breaking for Emma to go through this. However, as she is going through the worst season of her 17 years, I have never seen someone be such an inspiration to so many! She has continued to keep a smile on her face and has not complained. She has shown the true colors of her heart and has made all around her want to be a better person.

Emma and her family have had amazing support from so many friends. So many of you came up to the hospital and sat with Emma, brought gifts, sent encouraging messages and prayers, and for that, they are so grateful! Bobbie and Travis have expressed how they feel your support has been a huge impact on her recovery thus far.

As many of you know, the financial burden of such a surgery and after-care treatment is a great one. The Greenman's are such an amazing family who have always been the first ones ready to help anyone in need. This time, the table has turned and it is their time of need. They would never ask anything of anyone, so with their permission, I am asking. If you feel led to contribute to the huge medical expense this family is undertaking, please do so.
