Emma McGiff EDA Fees
Donation protected
Hello everyone! I’ve finally accepted my place into Emil Dale Academy in Hitchin, just north of London! However, as the fees are substantially high, I will have to do some fundraising to cover the cost! I will be starting the BTEC 2-Year Intensive Musical Theatre Course in September at EDA and as it is one of the most prestigious schools in the UK for triple-threat training, they offer much more opportunities than other schools in terms of training and representation in the theatre business, meaning the fees (particularly for my course) sit at £4,200 per yer (£8,400) in total! So this fundraising would help massively! But please don’t feel obligated to do so as I know this is a difficult time for everyone financially!
Here is some extra information about EDA and and insight to the training! The course offered is a two year Sixth Form Musical Theatre course designed for people aged between 16 and 19. This is a foundation course which is designed to help students gain places at top Musical Theatre Colleges for higher training such as: Emil Dale Academy, Arts Ed, Mountview, GSA, Laines, Bird, and Urdang. This course is a BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Practice (Musical Theatre), which up to 168 UCAS points can be achieved; the equivalent of 3 A-Levels.
I have always had a passion for performing since the young age of 3 and have partaken in many dance shows and also played lead roles such as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family and Zoe Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen! I would’ve also played Gabriella Montez in High School Musical this summer of it wasn't due to the Coronavirus pandemic! I have also performed on Broadway alongside my friends from my theatre school at the Town Hall Theatre in the heart of NYC! I also thoroughly take part in my school’s Christmas and Summer concerts as well as helping out with younger students in the choir and class work! I also help out at my dance school and assist my dance teachers with the younger classes! Alongside this, I have also managed to achieve several Distinctions in LAMDA qualifications in Musical Theatre such as; Grade 2 - 96% Distinction, Grade 5 - 84% Distinction and Grade 6 (Bronze) - 86% Distinction.
Lastly, I just want to say thank you to every single person who has supported me over the years and is still supporting me to this day! If you are able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean the world! No amount is too small! I just want to do whatever it takes to achieve my dream of becoming a professional Musical Theatre performer and do what i love most!
