Emma needs a stair lift

My little cousin Emma is four years old and lives with her Auntie Jenny and her cousin Tasha in Sault Ste. Marie. She is bubbly, caring, and fiercely independent. She has lots of friends in her kindergarten class and her favourite food is meatballs (especially when Aunt Jo makes them)!

Emma has cerebral palsy, which is a motor disability that affects movement and balance. She uses a wheelchair to get around, and even though it is sometimes hard for her to use her hands - she finds adaptive ways to feed herself and buckle herself into her chair whenever she can. Soon, she is hoping to learn how to drive a powered chair!

Emma lives in a two-story home and now that she is older, her Auntie is unable to safely carry her upstairs to her bedroom. Recently, the motor for their stair lift broke and they were quoted $2800 to replace the motor, or $3500 to replace the entire lift. We are hoping to be able to cover the cost for her to buy a new lift that will last her for many years to come!
