Help support those that supported our friend, Emma Starr.

At the age of just 46, wife, daughter, sister, dear friend, and mother of three, Emma Starr, lost her 7-year battle with breast cancer.

Throughout her gruelling treatment, instead of bitterness or regret, one thing stood out, her gratitude and affection for the staff of the PCH Oncology /Haematology Ward that cared for her. This fundraiser is to help support those Doctors and Nurses in their quest to support Emma's fellow cancer sufferers.

All funds raised here will go to supporting the ward's Wishlist - a list of items that go to supporting the patients' lives beyond the direct needs of their treatment - cosmetics to cheer up people that are going through tough treatment - phone chargers to help people stay connected to loved ones - children's books to help entertain kids in sometimes long stints on the ward...in short, all those things that make life a little more tolerable - things that the NHS cannot afford.

Our plan is to raise money throughout 2025, before asking Emma's daughters to present the gifts to the ward toward the end of the year.

Our ask is that, beyond donating to the fund directly (though that would be very nice!), you consider the fund as a beneficiary of any of your own fundraising efforts. Holding a charity quiz, perhaps add us as a part-beneficiary...getting sponsored to run a marathon, how about one of those miles goes toward this fund?
