On Friday morning, October 8th, 2021 Shelbi Villarreal (26) packed up her year old daughter to take her two school age sisters Celia (7) and Emmalee (10) to school to discover her 2011 Ford Sedan was no longer in her driveway. She immediately called 911 and filled a stolen vehicle report with the Victoria County Sheriffs Department. Shelbi also posted on her personal social media account about the missing car. She received several tips from community members with potential sightings of her missing vehicle around the Victoria area. On Saturday, October 9th, 2021 Shelbi received a social media message stating they sighted her vehicle on the HWY heading towards Eden, Tx with in several hours Victoria County Sherriff's office contacted her stating Jackson County Sherriff's department had attempted to stop her vehicle in Jackson County. The assailants led a multi agency hour long pursuit ending after law enforcement deploying spike strips forcing the assailants to drive her vehicle into the bay in Calhoun County.
Shelbi has had care and custody of her two younger sisters on and off for the majority of their lives but continuously since May of 2021 since their Mother has been in Jail. Emmalee has been diagnosed with spina bifid since birth and is wheelchair bound. Emmalee recently received a new special wheelchair that allowed her to have a more normal life and provided her the ability to go to school. Due to her using this wheelchair at school. Unfortunately, the specialized wheelchair was in the trunk of her sister Shelbi's car when it was stolen. After, the assailants where apprehended only the wheels of the wheelchair where left in the trunk of the vehicle. The wheelchair had been discarded in the days the car was stolen and has not been recovered.
Shelbi is not only having to replace her only vehicle but is now having to replace her sisters specialty wheelchair in order for her sister to return to school.
Please help show Shelbi, Emmalee, Ceclia, and Leah how much they are loved by donating to get this little family back on the road and back to school. THANK YOU for your SUPPORT!
