Emmanuel’s Last Wishes

Hi Everyone,
I was asked by Emmanuel’s family to create this for his benefit.
This is definitely in my top 2 of the hardest stories I’ve ever written in my life and this, to me, is absolutely heart breaking. I still find myself in disbelief. Just writing this brings tears.
Just a year ago on January 23, 2021 we found out that our dear brother and friend had been diagnosed with an aggressive Colon Cancer.
Despite the bad news, Emmanuel never gave up on himself and continued to spread love to those around him. In many selfless acts, he put many before himself despite his condition as he continued to fight for recovery. Even when in the hospital he was always full of jokes and laughter…he never lost himself. He always called it “fighting the good fight.”
Emmanuel, often referred to as Eman, was not only one of my life long best friends but a Brotherly figure to myself and many others.
He led a life of brotherhood and impacted tons of people in a unique way through laughter, integrity, and friendship.
Emmanuel never asked for help unless he absolutely needed to. He was a man of pride, honor, and respect. He would fight his hardest to figure out his problems before involving any others and I’ll always respect him for that because he gave everything all he had before stepping aside.
With that being said, I’d like to ask all of you for your help because he would have done the same for each and every one of us if he had the chance to.
We would like to have something traditional for our brother. It was his last wishes. Because of his condition, as you can imagine, tons of funds were used to help him fight this battle.
In his loving memory, we ask you for your help to lay our brother to rest peacefully.
As of today 4/7/22, Emmanuel’s family has been told to set up funeral arrangements for him as he is non-responsive in the hospital currently.
We really appreciate all of the love and support in every way and I know that Eman would appreciate it as well.
