Emma’s fight against RMS

Dear family, friends, and generous strangers, I am reaching out to you today to ask for your support for my niece, Emmersyn, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage-4 Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) cancer after finding a large tumor in her pelvis compromising her other vital organs, and attaching to her lungs. This is a rare form of cancer found in children. Emmersyn will be treated with extensive chemotherapy, radiation and surgeries moving forward. Emmersyn is a spunky, sassy, lively, 7 year old. She is in the first grade with straight A’s and loves sports; baseball, swimming and gymnastics specifically. She is a social butterfly who makes friends everywhere she goes. Not only that, but she has always had the kindest heart and ensures to include others and is always selfless. She is the best big sister to her two younger siblings, Charlotte and Cashton. The past few weeks have been very difficult for the entire family as they process this unforeseen news. Emmersyn is and has always been a strong girl. She has a long and difficult journey ahead of her, both inpatient and outpatient, and will need an army of loving and supportive family and friends. Our hope is to help Emmersyn’s parents, Alex and Chris, with any financial burdens including housing, bills, child care and transportation to and from the hospital for treatments after her release, in order for them to focus on Emmersyn’s health and recovery.
