Emma’s Head Shave for Mia O’Dwyer.
Donation protected
Recently Mia O’Dwyer, a beautiful vibrant 9 year old girl, found out that her cancer had returned. Mia was first diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in 2019. The wonderful Gulgong community have begun fundraising so that Mia and her family have the opportunity to travel to Germany for treatment, after Mia goes through 17 rounds of radiation at Westmead Children’s Hospital.
This is something close to my heart and Mia’s Journey is something I would like to support her on. I’m going to be shaving my head, and raise incredible funds to assist Mia and her family get the treatment she needs. This will take place on the 2nd of April at Gulgong RSL Club.
10 years ago in March 2013, I shaved my head and raised close to $10,000 for The Leukaemia Foundation. At the time my Mum was going through treatment for Breast Cancer.
Cancer has touched all of our lives, and it takes the strength of a community to help fight it.
All of my hair will be donated to The Cancer Council Ponytail Project, to help make wigs for those going through cancer treatment.
