Strictly Come Dancing

This year I will be taking part in Portadown Cares Strictly Come Dancing. I'm raising money in aid of Angel Eyes NI Services and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me ❤️

As a mother of two sons who are both visually impaired, Angel Eyes NI, are just one of the charities that were a lifeline to our family after the boys diagnosis.

They provide emotional & practical support to parents & familes of children & young people who are blind or partially sighted in Northern Ireland, offering guidance from birth to the transition into adulthood.

They help with the early years, understanding the impact of vision impairment, offer access to inclusive clubs & support children through their educational journey.

In 2019 I was fortunate to be able to try out their newly developed Virtual Reality Sight Loss Simulator “Empatheyes” which was designed to increase understanding of vision impairment for parents and professionals. To be able to see the world through the eyes of my children was bittersweet to say the least.

Angel Eyes really have been a lifeline to us & many other families within NI ❤️
